Food For Thought #5 - Change (It's been awhile!) Not to many people like change. Some do, but I bet a majority of people don't like change. I myself, I welcome change. Change brings about new things in life, spices things up, makes it interesting. School hasn't changed much in the two short years I have been at Canyon, however my friends have and that is what motivates me to get up in the morning. You probably don't notice that change occurs constantly. "Life is adapting. Adapting is change. Changing is living." I dunno if anyone has ever said that before, but I'm a believer in that. I myself constantly change. Just recently I went through a MAJOR change. I don't know what it will bring me, but once again, it makes my life interesitng. I constantly note a change in alot of my friends. I myself am starting to change the way I look. Recently, a certain event took place, and I adapted to the situation, made the best of it, and now things are going great between me and all my friends, or at least I hope so. Some people are reluctant to change. I encourage those to go out in the world and try something new. See what it brings you. See what changes will come about. Adapt to it and change yourself, or rather, evolve a little bit. I'm sure you will be happy with your results. So tell me, do you like change? or would you rather keep everything the way it is? Leave a comment if you wish to answer. "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade" - Unknown (anyone wanna tell me who said that? I'm not sure...) - Fire Not really an update. Just heard a quote today that I thought was interesting. Don't expect any of MY own personal Poetry. By now I've posted pretty much all my poetry. There are a few that will never go on the site. Reasons are my own personal ones. I will, however, periodically post another person's poems. May it be that they request that their poetry be posted, or would like to see someone elses poetry, or something like that. I will also post poetry like I did in the last entry. Already I have found several other Shakespearean Sonnets that I really liked and would like to share with those people who are unfortunate enough to not be able to own a book of poetry and stuff by Shakespeare. Anyway onto the quote: "What a selfish little girl, then again, Love and Selfishness do go hand in hand." - Sanosuke of Rurouni Kenshin - Fire P.S. I'll try and post a quote every entry, starting with Kody's and then Sanosuke and then future quotes. . |
